About DLIMS Online
DLIMS Online is an independently run information website about driving licences and traffic rules in Pakistan. Most of our guides focus on Punjab, where the Driving Licence Issuance and Management System (DLIMS) is used, and some pages cover general information that applies across Pakistan.
DLIMS Online is not a government website. We are not part of, or connected to, the Punjab Police, Punjab Traffic Police, the Punjab Information Technology Board or any other government department. The official portal for Punjab driving licence services is dlims.punjab.gov.pk.
Who runs DLIMS Online
DLIMS Online is run by Musa Tariq, who researches and updates the guides on this website using official sources such as the DLIMS Punjab portal, Punjab Traffic Police announcements and government notifications. When a fee, rule or process changes, the related guide is reviewed and updated.
What we cover
Our guides explain common driving licence tasks in simple language, so you know what to expect before you visit a licensing centre or use an official portal. Popular guides include:
- How to apply for a learner licence
- How to check or verify a driving licence
- Driving licence fees in Punjab
- Paying licence fees with a PSID
- Checking and paying an e-challan in Punjab
- Vehicle emission testing in Punjab
- Juvenile driving permit in Punjab
We also explain the different licence categories, permanent licence steps, and other traffic related topics. Our driving test practice quiz lets you practise road sign and rule questions. It is a study aid only and does not guarantee a pass in the official test.
How we research our guides
- We start with official sources first, such as the DLIMS Punjab portal, Punjab Traffic Police, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), and published government notifications.
- Where official information is unclear or missing, we say so instead of guessing.
- When fees, rules or procedures change, we update the related pages and review the dates shown on them.
- Fees and procedures can change without notice, so we always recommend confirming details on the official portal before you pay or travel.
Every guide is checked against these sources before it goes live, and older pages are reviewed when rules or fees change.
Your safety comes first
DLIMS Online never asks you for payments, CNIC copies, passwords, OTP codes or any personal documents. We do not process licence applications, collect fees or issue licences. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from DLIMS Online and asks for money or documents, please do not respond and let us know.
