Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Welcome to DLIMS Online (dlimsonline.pk), referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our website, how it is used, and the choices you have. DLIMS Online is an independent information website and is not a government website.

1. Information We Collect

  • Information you give us: When you use our contact form or email us, you may share your name, email address and message. Please do not send your CNIC number, licence number, passwords or copies of documents. We do not need them.
  • Automatically collected information: Like most websites, our hosting and security services record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We and our partners use cookies to measure traffic, keep the site secure and fast, and show ads. See sections 5 and 6 below.
  • Quiz tool data: Our driving test practice quiz saves your best score only in your own browser using local storage. This score is not sent to or stored on our server, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To reply to your messages and correction requests
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the website
  • To analyse traffic trends
  • To keep the website secure and protect it from spam and abuse
  • To show advertising that helps keep the website free
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information only:

  • With service providers that help run the website, such as our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described in this policy
  • If required by law or a valid legal request
  • To protect our rights, our users or the website from misuse

4. Third Party Links

Our guides link to official websites, such as the DLIMS Punjab portal, and to other external sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.

5. Cookies, Analytics and Hosting

  • Google Analytics 4: We use Google Analytics, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited and for how long. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as device, browser and approximate location. You can learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and you can install the Google Analytics opt out browser add-on.
  • Cloudflare: Our website uses Cloudflare for security and performance. Cloudflare may process your IP address and set cookies needed to protect the site from attacks and bots.
  • Hosting and caching: Our web hosting server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, browser and requested page) for security and troubleshooting. We use LiteSpeed Cache to make pages load faster; it stores copies of pages on the server and does not build a profile of you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

6. Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads on this website. Ads help us keep our guides free.

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
  • To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.

7. Data Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected:

  • Contact form messages and emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow up, and are then deleted.
  • Server and security logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, in line with our hosting provider’s settings.
  • Analytics and advertising data are kept by Google according to its own retention settings and policies.
  • Quiz scores stay in your browser until you clear them. We never receive them.

We use reasonable measures to protect the website, including HTTPS encryption, Cloudflare security and regular software updates. However, no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Information

Our website is a general information resource and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal information you have sent us through our contact form or email. You can also control cookies through your browser and the opt out links above.

10. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new tools or services. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
